Church Cleric Sets Himself Ablaze In Delta

A pastor in Ekete waterside in Warri, Delta State has set himself ablaze on the popular Udu Bridge near the oil-rich city.

The cleric, whose name was given as Obaleme, had recently complained of family problems.

Report says the pastor drove himself to the bridge, alighted from his car, took a 20-litre jerrycan of fuel from the booth, and set himself ablaze under the bridge.

It was learnt that before help could come his way, Obaleme, who was married and had children, died on the spot.

When contacted, Charles Muka, the state’s police spokesperson, said he was yet to be briefed on the incident.
