Delta: NEEDLES were found in sandwiches on four flights

THE FBI is investigating how sewing needles got wedged inside five turkey sandwiches served on four Delta Air Lines flights from Amsterdam on Sunday.
One passenger on a flight to Minneapolis was injured, but declined to seek medical attention, according to a Delta spokeswoman. The other needles were discovered on two flights to Atlanta and one to Seattle.

“Delta has taken immediate action with our in-flight caterer at Amsterdam (Gate Gourmet) to ensure the safety and quality of the food we provide onboard our aircraft,” the airline said in a statement.
Flight attendants immediately stopped serving the sandwiches when the needle was discovered.
In lieu of the unsafe sandwiches, passengers got pizza instead.
