Police are searching for a 64-year-old man suspected of shooting dead an off-duty policeman in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex this afternoon.
A manhunt has been launched for Peter Reeve after the officer, confirmed by the England and Wales Police Federation as PC Ian Dibell, was shot dead and another man was injured.
Essex Police have released a photograph of  Reeve, who is thought to be armed, and are urging members of the public to take great care and not to approach him.
