Ashley Cole In Trouble With FA For Joking About 'Choc Ice' Comment?

Ashley Cole has possibly landed himself in hot water with the Football Association after writing a tweet referencing Rio Ferdinand's scandal with the "choc ice" comment.

Last month, Manchester United defender Rio co-signed a tweet by another user who branded Ashley a "choc ice" for his involvement in John Terry's racism trial. While Ashley has mostly kept a dignified silence in public over the scandal, he may have gotten himself into trouble last night after making light of the controversial comment.

"Glad to be back in rainy england!! Was worried it would be hot, didn’t want to melt, lol," Ashley wrote on Twitter yesterday, with "melt" clearly referencing the "choc ice" remark.
No doubt, Ashley's fuelling of the scandal will leave football chiefs furious as they are most likely trying to put an end to the long-running racism row, which saw Terry cleared of racially abusing Rio's younger brother on the pitch during a match.

It was revealed this week that Rio has been charged by the FA for his role in the "choc ice" quip.
